Motivated native speakers as teachers with lots of fresh ideas for interesting lessons provide for a positive learning atmosphere. Only a native speaker can convey his or her language so acutely, as to help you make great strides in your learning. Only someone who has grown up with the language can bring you closer to it with his or her invaluable background knowledge.

In private tuition you are the person of the hour. The instructor devotes him- or herself completely to your individual needs and wishes with regard to lesson content and scheduling. Our teachers are exclusively experienced native speakers. We also work on a non-contractual basis.

Many people have taken part in group courses only to be just as afraid of speaking upon completion as they were before, perhaps due to the size of the group or the conception of the course. Our groups are limited to a maximum of 6 participants (7 in a beginner course).

It is important to us that you speak a lot in lessons! Forget about big classes with primarily passive learning. You will profit from 'having to' speak in the presence of our mother-tongue teachers.

Grammar is important, too, and you will learn it through the use of various materials. About 1/3 of the time is set aside for grammar. At home you will be able to refer to a textbook from a well-known publisher. Instruction is oriented toward the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (see levels).

If you already have previous knowledge, you may join a course already in progress. We will advise you with regard to the choice of level, and you may of course sit in on a course, to see if you like it.

Successful learning depends on regularity. For this reason, our group courses go throughout the year. There are breaks during the lesson-free month of August, at the beginning/end of the year and as the case may be during Carnival. Other forms of instruction, e.g. private tuition, are unaffected by this policy.
